May 5: Fun Show

May 19: DCSC Open Performance, 9 a.m.

June 2: Dressage and Show Jumping

June 23: All Breed Open Arabian Community Show

July 14: DCSC Open Performance, 9 a.m.

Aug. 25: All Breed Open Arabian Community Show

Sept. 15: DCSC Open Performance, 9 a.m.; Running, 2 p.m.

Sept. 29: Dressage and Show Jumping

Oct. 13: DCSC Open Performance and H/J, both 9 a.m.

Oct. 27: Dressage and Show Jumping

ALBANY — The Dougherty County Saddle Club will begin its 2012 Show Season this Saturday. The Open Performance Show will begin at 9 a.m. and the Running Show will begin at 2 p.m. on the club’s show grounds at 2924 Lonesome Road, Albany.

The saddle club will be offering a variety of shows on their grounds this season such as running, dressage/show jumping and all breed open Arabian community shows. In addition to traditional shows, the saddle club offers a fun show in which participants compete in relay type racing. No bathing of horses or show attire required.

The community is welcome to come out and watch or to participate in the show. The show is run by volunteers, so anyone willing to come out and help can do so.

Class fees range from $3-$7. There will be a raffle going on throughout the day and concessions will be offered. The organization is a club open to new members to join at any time or just come out and show as a non-member.
