ALBANY -- Mr. Gerald Kimsey, Sr. 56, of Blackberry Rd. in Baconton, GA died March 15, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Monday 2 PM at Kimbrell-Stern Rev. Keith Gaines officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Born in Albany, Mr. Kimsey has lived most of his life in the Baconton area where he was of the Baptist faith, owner of W&G Trucking Repair and Gerald Kimsey Hauling. Mr. Kimsey will always be remembered for the love he gave to his family, grandkids and his work.
Mr. Kimsey was preceded in death by his father, Otis Lee Kimsey, Sr., and a sister, Polly Broome.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Kimsey of Baconton, daughters, Jennifer Dollar and her husband Kem of Camilla and Glenda Kimsey and her husband Gene, son, Gerald (Jerry) Kimsey, Jr. of Baconton his mother, Margaret Kimsey of Ashburn, eight grandchildren, Skyler and Summer Roberts, Haley Dollar, Kimberly, Taylor, Ivy & Kaylee Bridges and Brayden Kimsey, one great-grandchild, Layla Bridges, brothers, Terry Kimsey of Sasser, Wayne Kimsey of Atlanta, John and Frankie Kimsey of Sylvester, Bo Kimsey of Leesburg and Rodney Mabrey of Baconton, GA, sisters, Ann Kimsey of Sasser, Brenda Tracy of Ashburn and Janice Holton of Baconton.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern.
