Police/Fire/EMS - March 21, 2012

ALBANY -- Albany police responded to at least 31 incidents Tuesday and into the early hours of Wednesday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Forgery on the 1700 block of West Oakridge Drive;

-- Theft by taking on the 1500 block of Argonne Drive, the 600 block of Bonny View Avenue, the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue, the 1300 block of North Monroe Street and the 800 block of West Second Avenue;

-- Entering auto on the 600 block of Jeffries Avenue and the 2200 block of Pearce Avenue;

-- Motor vehicle theft on the 800 block of Flint Avenue;

-- Aggravated assault on the 2200 block of South Madison Street;

-- Possession of controlled substance on the 1600 block of Silica Drive;

-- Reckless conduct on the 500 block of South Van Buren Street;

-- Disorderly conduct on the 900 block of Cherry Avenue and the 2400 block of South Washington Street;

-- Loitering and prowling on the 800 block of West Highland Avenue;

-- Assault (domestic) on the 100 block of Bridges lane and the 2600 block of Crossbow Court;

-- Sexual battery (domestic) on the 2600 block of South Washington Street;

-- Simple battery (domestic) on the 2500 block of Bascom Drive and the 1300 block of Van Buren Street;

-- Domestic (unfounded) on the 1500 block of Evelyn Avenue and the 1900 block of West Broad Avenue.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 62 calls on Tuesday.

There were 39 medical calls, 18 trauma calls and five other calls. Medical Calls: Two chest pain, six respiratory issues, one diabetic issue, one seizure, two obstetrics, three mental health calls, three miscellaneous pain calls, one stroke symptoms and 20 various medical; Trauma calls: 13 vehicle crash victims, one fall, one other trauma, two laceration and one fight/assault. Other type calls are typically medical alerts or standby.

LEE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: The Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to at least 39 calls.

-- Shots fired on the 100 block of Wood Drive;

-- Fraud on the 100 block of Pinewood Road, the 100 block of Evergreen Court the 100 block of Berkeley Road and the 100 block of First Road;

-- Road hazard on the 100 block of Ivy Lane;

-- Brush fire on the 100 block of Sportsmans Club Road;

-- Theft, stolen gun on the 800 block of Highway 19 South;

-- Reckless driving on the 600 block of Richardson Road, the 700 block of Highway 82 and the 1500 block of Highway 82;

-- Vehicle crash on the 2700 block of Ledo Road and vehicle crash into deer on the 1100 block of Graves Springs Road;

-- Animal/human bites on the 1500 block of Highway 19.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to 12 incidents, including a mobile home domestic arson that caused $10,000 damage, smoke visible from a Lee County fire, three controlled burns, a controlled burn that got out of control in woodland, assist EMS, a grass fire, vehicle crash, two activated alarms, a gasoline spill and an unauthorized burn.
