Jabari McGhee, 6-6, Jr., F, Monroe
WHY HE’S HERE: Runner-up for Player of the Year. He was one of the most electric ballers in SW Georgia and led Monroe all season, averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds a game.
Rantavious Gilbert, 6-7, Sr., C, Monroe
WHY HE’S HERE: Was the premier shot blocker in Southwest Georgia and changed the game on defense, where he averaged almost five blocks a game. He also averaged 9.1 points and five rebounds a game.
T.J. Cromer, 6-0, Jr., G., Westover
WHY HE’S HERE: After transferring from Tift County, he took over as the court and floor leader for the Patriots and averaged 21.4 points a game. He also grabbed 4.4 rebounds and averaged 2.1 steals and four assists a night.
Larry Sanford, 6-0, Sr., G., Albany High
WHY HE’S HERE: Was a clutch performer for the best team in Southwest Georgia, averaging 15 points a night and grabbing four rebounds and handing out four assists to help lead Albany to the Elite 8.
Darrell Anthony, 6-3, Sr., F, Dougherty
WHY HE’S HERE: Led Dougherty at both ends of the court, averaging 15 points and nine rebounds a game while blocking two shots a night.
Ramello Carter, 5-10, Jr., G, Deerfield-Windsor
WHY HE’S HERE: Leading scorer, averaging 19.5 points for the Knights and 3.5 assists, as well as three steals a game.
Dekoven Ware, 6-0, Sr., F, Terrell County
WHY HE’S HERE: Averaged a double-double for the second consecutive season, scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds a night.
Dequan Green, 6-3, Sr., F, Westover
WHY HE’S HERE: Averaged 13.1 points and four rebounds a game and was the second-leading scorer for the Patriots.
