ALBANY -- The National Day of Prayer ceremony -- the 19th annual observance in Albany, will take place at noon Thursday at the City-County Government Building, 222 Pine Ave. in downtown Albany.
Guest speakers will be Wanda Mitchell of Porterfield United Methodist Church and Ginny Hayman of Byne Memorial Baptist Church. The remainder of the program will be members of the ALDON Committee.
Thursday marks the 61st national observance of the Day of Prayer. Albany Mayor Dorothy Hubbard has signed a proclamation declaring the city's support of the prayer day.
