ALBANY -- A 43-year-old man was arrested at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday after Albany-Dougherty Metro SWAT entered the barricaded home where he was hiding on the 800 block of Corn Avenue, stated Albany Police Department reports.
Mark Harewood was charged with aggravated assault and terroristic threats and acts, said Phyllis Banks, APD spokeswoman. No injuries were reported.
Banks added that at 11:43 a.m. officers were called to an altercation. "Harewood charged at (36-year-old Christopher) Thomas with a knife and threatened to kill him. When Thomas attempted to defend himself, Harewood ran into the house at 807 Corn Ave. and barricaded himself inside," Banks said.
