Police/Fire/EMS report for May 5, 2012

ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 52 incidents Thursday into the early hours of Friday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Missing juvenile on the 1400 block of Harmon Avenue;

— Recovered property, a gun, on the 2000 block of Palmyra Road and a bag of green leafy substance on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Entering auto on the 2200 block of Wycliff Lane, the 1200 block of Netherland Lane and the 300 block of South Jefferson Street;

— Robbery by force on the 1900 block of East Broad Avenue;

— Aggravated assault on the 2200 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 500 block of West Linden Avenue;

— Burglary on the 1200 block of Mayfield Drive, the 300 block of West Whitney Avenue and the 700 block of Mobile Avenue;

— Forgery on the 2000 block of North Slappey Boulevard and the 700 block of West Whitney;

— Motor vehicle theft on the 1500 block of Cordell Avenue and the 800 block of West Highland Avenue;

— Missing person on the first block of Transvilla Parkway;

— Robbery by sudden snatching on the 1100 block of West Gordon Avenue;

— Rape on the 300 block of South Mock Road;

— Theft by deception on the 2300 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Disorderly conduct on the 1000 block of South Madison Street and the 1100 block of West Broad Avenue;

— Theft by taking on the 400 block of West Lincoln Avenue;

— Assault (domestic) on the 1800 block of Avalon Avenue and the 600 block of Sands Drive;

— Battery (domestic) on the 600 block of Medlock Court and the 3900 block of Rodnor Forest Lane;

— Domestic (unfounded) on the 500 block of Cochran Avenue, the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 1100 block of East Tift Avenue, the 800 block of Byron Road, the 1000 block of Don Cutler Sr. Drive, the 1200 block of Baker Avenue, the 700 block of West Whitney Avenue and the 1800 block of Seay Court;

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 11 calls, according to police reports.

Police responded to incidents including:

— Narcotics investigation, a traffic stop for a tail light out on the 3500 block of Sylvester Road turned up several bags of marijuana, scales and smaller bags for distribution. The driver was arrested and turned over to the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit for investigation into the narcotics.

— A traffic stop for seat belt and improper lane violations on Westover Boulevard at GA 234 led to the arrest of a man on probation violation.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 70 calls on Thursday.

There were 57 medical calls and 13 trauma calls. Medical Calls and trauma calls included but were not limited to five chest pains, four respiratory issues, 36 various medical calls, eight motor vehicle crash victims and four falls.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to nine incidents, including Two active alarms, a motor vehicle crash, an air conditioner smoking, trash fire, unattended cooking, two trash bin fires and a water leak in an upstairs apartment.
