ALBANY -- The Albany Police Department responded to at least 70 incidents Saturday, Sunday and into the early hours of Monday. Reports included:
-- Wanted person on the 100 block of the Liberty Expressway;
-- Thefts by taking on the 400 block of Williams Street and the 200 block of Frost Street;
-- Assaults on the 1700 block of Malone Drive and the 1500 block of Westwood Drive;
-- Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 2400 block of Dawson Road and the 800 block of West Residence Avenue;
-- Harassing phone calls on the 1400 block of North Jackson Street;
-- Recovered property on the 1100 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 1100 block of East Edgewater Drive;
-- Burglaries on the 600 block of Jefferies Avenue and the 900 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard;
-- Driving with a suspended license on the 1500 block of Gillespie Avenue;
-- Disorderly conduct on the 1300 block of West Highland Avenue and the 300 block of West Highland Avenue;
-- Assault, vandalism, on the 1200 block of Augusta Drive;
-- Entering autos on the 800 block of West Gordon Avenue and the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue;
-- Open container on the 200 block of Poplar Street;
-- Driving under the influence on the 2800 block of Old Dawson Road;
-- Financial transaction card fraud on the 1100 block of Newton Road;
-- Criminal trespass on the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 500 block of Pinson Road;
-- Missing juvenile on the 600 block of Woodhaven Lane;
-- Simple battery on the 2200 block of Habersham Road;
-- Thefts of lost or mislaid property on the 400 block of South Slappey Boulevard and the 900 block of North Van Buren Street;
-- Saggy pants on the 600 block of West Society Avenue and the 2200 block of East Broad Avenue;
-- Thefts by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road and the 1000 block of West Gordon Avenue;
-- Criminal damage to property in the second degree on the 500 block of Hickory Lane;
-- Lost, mislaid property on the 1500 block of Radium Springs Road;
-- Battery on the 400 block of West Tift Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to 15 calls on Saturday. Reports included:
-- Traffic accident (private property) on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road;
-- Criminal trespass on the 600 block of Azalea Boulevard;
-- Theft on the 7000 block of Hardup Road;
-- Traffic arrest on the 500 block of Philema Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 45 incidents from Friday through the early hours of Monday. Reports included a washing machine fire, a vehicle fire, motor vehicle crashes, grass fires, a gas odor at a residence, a trash fire, a tree in the road on Seventh Avenue and at Colquitt Avenue and Drexel Street, downed power lines, a building fire on Sixth Avenue and a malfunctioning ceiling fan motor.
DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to a total of 52 calls on Sunday. There were 41 medical calls and 11 trauma calls. Medical calls included, but were not limited to, three for chest pain, three for seizures and 25 various medical calls. The majority of the trauma calls included, but were not limited to, six for auto accident victims and three for falls.
