ALBANY — Southwest Georgians can learn about one of their most significant natural resources as they canoe the scenic Flint River on Saturday.
Minimum age is 10 to participate in this canoe trip which originates at 117 Pine Ave. Each participant should bring a sack lunch and water. The trip will take about six to eight hours.
All trips include a guide, canoe, paddles and personal flotation device. Participants must be able to swim. Boats can hold two adults. No flip flops or sandals are permitted. Hat, sunscreen and bug spray are suggested.
Fees are $45 per canoe and payment is required at time of registration to hold a spot.
In the event of severe weather or extreme conditions on river, the trip may be canceled. In these instance registrants may request a refund or reschedule the trip.
