ALBANY, Ga. — A robbery reported at the Captain D’s restaurant April 6, turns out to be a robbery of a deposit at the SB&T Bank a little more than a block away, according to Albany Police Department reports.
The original report stated that a black gunman held up the restaurant manager in the 1902 E. Oglethorpe restaurant office. As part of the continuing investigation, officers discounted original reports. Video surveillance obtained Wednesday morning from the bank at 2102 E. Oglethorpe Blvd. suggests the robbery of $3,173.57, the night’s April 6 receipts, was at the bank’s drive-through, reports added.
Officers are sorting through the conflicting reports and would like community help. Anyone with additional information is asked to call investigations at (229) 431-3288 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477). The Spanish-speaking APD-COP Tip Line is (229) 434-2677.

On the video, it looks like the robber actually flagged down the car...
