County school officials let the tail wag the dog

I am appalled by the lackadaisical attitude by Dougherty County School administrators. The comment by Assistant Superintendent (Kenneth) Goseer about the actions of Mr. (David) Lloyd in reimbursing parents for bail money for charges made by school police undercut the teacher involved, the school police and the disciplinary climate at that school.

If administrators are intimidated by parents into such actions, then who is running your schools?

I don’t live in Albany, but I am proud to have graduated from Albany High School in 1968. Those were different times, but the standards should be the same.

The Board actions in “non-renewing” certain contracts are certainly steps in the right direction. Don’t let the “tail wag the dog.” Stand up for your teachers.
