If he were not living in metro Albany, Tommy Steedley might enjoy life in Daytona Beach, Fla.

There, he could combine two of his major loves — spending time at the beach with his family and his love of NASCAR racing.

Steedley, owner of Steedley’s Transmission and Automotive in Lee County, said he would have liked to have been a mechanic on a NASCAR team. And, he says, trips to Florida to the beach are at the top of his favorite vacation destinations list.

Steedley sat down with reporter Jim West recently for this question-and-answer session.

Not only a good businessman, but one that will stand behind his work, and honor his estimate. Folks like that are getting few and far between

Ah - breath of fresh air. Always good to see/hear of someone giving an honest day's work. After looking past all the hoodies and droopy drawers we can find someone willing to work. Thank you Mr. Steedley.
