Albany names city manager finalists April 24, 2015


James Marchman, Sr.

CUTHBERT -- James Lester Marchman, Sr., 71, passed away April 1, 2012 in Branson, MO. He was born in Cuthbert on August 10, 1940, son of the late Taylor Burton Marchman, Sr. and Sara Williams Marchman.

Jim is survived by his son, James (Jennifer) Marchman; a daughter, Megham (Brennen) McKenzie; and grandchildren: James Thomas, Janelle and Julianne Marchman, and Keara McKenzie. Other survivors include his brother Taylor (Bridgett) Marchman and sister Gerry (Earl) Brown and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jim retired from Fieldcrest Cannon as a Division Controller in Eden, NC after 28 years. Jim loved his children, grandchildren, bass fishing, living in the country, and raising his horses. He will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held May 25, 2012 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Cuthbert. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, KS.

Jimmy, as I knew him, was a classmate in Cuthbert from the 2nd-9th grade, (47-54), I had often wondered where his path led. My prayers and condolences go out to the family. Joe Sanders Shalimar, FL
