"Nix has been located," said Phyllis Banks, Albany Police Department spokeswoman, Thursday. More information when it is available.

ALBANY, Ga. — Two stabbings were reported late Monday and early Tuesday, according to Albany Police Department reports.

One of the stabbings took place at 4:19 a.m. Tuesday on the 1400 block of Gillespie Avenue, police reports indicate.

The APD says that an unwanted guest attempted to enter the victim’s home through a window. In order to defend herself, the victim grabbed a screwdriver. During a struggle, the suspect allegedly took the screwdriver from her and stabbed her in the mouth — after which he fled the scene, the reports state.

The victim, whose name was not released Tuesday, was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police are searching for Henry Nix III in connection to the incident. Nix, 23, has warrants taken against him for aggravated assault, false imprisonment and burglary. Authorities describe him as a black male who is 5-feet-10 inches tall and weighs 156 pounds.

There was also a stabbing reported at 401 Station Crossing Drive, Apt. B, that took place shortly after 11 p.m. Monday, according to available reports.

Police officials say two females got into an altercation and one injured the other’s neck with a knife.

The injury victim, identified as Tiffany Raquel Wheeler, 34, reportedly sustained a minor laceration and was sent to the hospital for treatment.

Vontressia Latonja Bryant, 29, was taken to the APD Law Enforcement Center on West Oglethorpe Boulevard for questioning, reports said.

APD officials say Bryant allegedly cut Wheeler following a verbal dispute over information found on a cell phone. Bryant was charged with aggravated assault and transported to Dougherty County Jail.

Has anyone noticed that stabbings, gun shot wounds always happen at an hour when people should be in their own respective homes sleeping? Some do not have anything to do but walk the streets and cause harm to others. Families please be in your home at a decent hour and not out at unsafe times of day.
