ALBANY -- Two people involved in a motorcycle wreck in East Albany Monday afternoon were still recovering from their injuries Tuesday evening.
Two males were riding on a Honda CRY 150F motorcycle at North Central Street and East Society Avenue just before 5 p.m. on Monday when the driver of the motorcycle drove through the intersection and failed to stop at a stop sign, officials with the Albany Police Department said.
His actions resulted in the motorcycle striking a 2003 Lincoln Towncar driven by Darryl Jackson, authorities said.
The initial investigation indicated that the two on the motorcycle were traveling east on Society Avenue when they went through the stop sign and were struck by Jackson as his vehicle was traveling north on Central Street.
Both males were ejected from the bike, and traffic investigators were called to the scene.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified by authorities as Shacoby Seay, 19, and the passenger was identified as Shaquille Mathis, 17.
A spokeswoman for Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital said Tuesday afternoon that both Seay and Mathis were in fair condition -- which usually means that vital signs are stable, the patient is conscious and is uncomfortable or may have minor complications.
Charges are pending in connection with the crash.
