Homer Johnson, 72, suffers from dementia and has been missing since the afternoon of Tuesday, May 29, 2012, Albany Police Department officials say.
ALBANY UPDATE (4:30 p.m.) The Albany Police Department reports that Homer Johnson was found just a few minutes ago on the 700 block of North Cleveland Street.
Police were called out to the scene following reports of an elderly man stripping in the area. It turned out that the man stripping was Johnson, said Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman with the APD.
Johnson is O.K., Banks said.
The Albany Police Department is asking the public to help officers locate Homer Johnson, a 72-year-old man who suffers from dementia.
Johnson has been missing from Friendship Personal Care Home, located at 723 W. Oglethorpe Blvd., since 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Johnson has a history of running off, but usually returns in a shorter period of time, a spokeswoman for the APD said.
Johnson and was last seen wearing a yellow jacket, khaki pants, and brown shoes. He is about 5 feet 9 and weighs about 140 pounds, APD officials say.
