ALBANY -- Families throughout Southwest Georgia will be sharing personal stories with radio personality Sarah Truelove as B100 hosts its annual B100 Radiothon for Children's Miracle Network at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital today and Friday, officials with the hospital say.
On the air from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Albany Mall, Truelove is expected to interview children, parents and grandparents offering stories officials say should inspire, motivate and bring hope to families with babies and children needing medical assistance.
Listeners to the live broadcast will be able to donate funds for equipment and treatments to be made available for every child needing medical care in the region.
During the radiothon, IHOP off Ledo Road in Lee County is hosting a breakfast party from 6 a.m.-10 a.m. today and Friday to give individuals another opportunity to donate to Children's Miracle Network. A portion of the party proceeds will be added to the radiothon's toteboard, which goes directly to the Children's Miracle Network at Phoebe, officials say.
