Police/Fire/EMS - May 31, 2012

ALBANY -- The Albany Police Department responded to at least 43 incidents on Tuesday and into the early hours of Wednesday. Reports included:

-- Assault (domestic violence) on the 100 block of Almond Drive;

-- Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 200 block of Wright Drive and the 1300 block of Colquitt Avenue;

-- Burglaries on the 300 block of South Mock Road and the 1600 block of South Jackson Street;

-- Dog bite on the 1100 block of Newton Road;

-- Simple assault on the 400 block of West Society Avenue;

-- Thefts by taking on the 1400 block of Avalon Avenue and the 2700 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

-- Robbery (by intimidation) on the 800 block of Mercer Avenue;

-- Criminal trespass on the 2700 block of Ledo Road;

-- Probation violation on the 800 block of Corn Avenue;

-- Aggravated assault on the 2200 block of South Jackson Street;

-- Battery on the 900 block of Friendship Drive;

-- Entering autos on the 2500 block of Barnesdale Way and the 1400 block of Whispering Pines Road;

-- Thefts by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road and the 1500 block of Radium Springs Road;

-- Criminal damage to property in the second degree on the 1200 block of West Whitney Avenue;

-- Disorderly conduct on the 2500 block of Belmont Drive and the 2500 block of Brierwood Drive;

-- Motor vehicle theft on the 1000 block of West Residence Avenue;

-- Driving on a suspended license on the 600 block of Poplar Street;

-- Harassing phone calls on the 2400 block of Dawson Road;

-- Unruly juvenile on the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue;

-- Possession of marijuana (less than one ounce) on the 200 block of North Carroll Street.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 16 calls on Tuesday. Reports included:

-- Traffic accident (injury) on the Liberty Expressway at Worth Street;

-- Family violence (verbal) on the 1400 block of South Mock Road;

-- Simple battery on the 1400 block of South Mock Road.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least nine calls Tuesday into early Wednesday. The calls included two vehicle accidents, a limb down on a power line, an engine compartment on fire and EMS assistance.

DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 60 calls on Tuesday. There were 42 medical calls and 18 trauma calls. Medical calls included, but were not limited to, six respiratory calls, four seizure calls and 23 various medical calls. The majority of the trauma calls included eight auto accident victims and three falls.
