How is it that the president helped with oil prices?? I read an article where he stated that there was not much he could do about rising gas prices and that we need to focus on "green" energy. I guess the same people who said it is not his fault oil prices were rising are trying to give him credit for the decrease in prices.

Get your head out of the sand. The great white black/white father has nothing to do with the price of oil. We buy oil on Euro dollars and the American dollar is strong now, so the currency change is upgraded. Only in SW Georgia would someone be so dense to make a statement like that. Go ahead and caste your vote you for O, it will be wasted because he will not carry Georgia.

Simply the ramblings of an uneducated mind. The Traders control the price of gas. It goes up or down depending on demand, and how much they have in storage. They don't want gas to back up and force the shutdown of refineries due to a lack of storage tanks. For the process to flow, there needs to be a smooth flow in and out. So the price is adjusted lower to get more people to buy gas, and return to the flow stream that keeps pumping money into their pockets without worrying about finding and paying for additional storage and restarting the refining process.. Yes Big Oil makes money, that's due to volume and pricing. 15% of $1,000,000,000 is a lot more profit than 15% of $500,000,000. Now the good Trader is making 20-25%.

Hey, I noticed the prices jumped back up yesterday. Stations changed from 3.23 to 3.35 I guess because it was reported crude oil is at it's lowest in a long time.

I'd like to submit this squiawk into the "One of the dumbest squawks ever" category. I am sure it would make the top 10.

This squawker is obviously on some crack, smoking too much weed or on something. When the gas prices were going up Obama had nothing to do with it, now all of a sudden according to this clown with the prices dropping down Obama gets full credit. This squawker is dumber than dumb. I agree with SDF Da Corch must have submitted this squawk, otherwise he would be in here bowing down to the king.

Yeah, thanks Obama! Thanks for nothing. If you folks will recall, Obama wanted to increase retail gas prices by imposing additional taxes, in order to provide incentives for buyers to flock to greener cars. Is your memory really that short? Obama does have indirect control of the price of gas with his anti-business policies, which he exercised to harrass oil refiners and retailers, such as BP during the oil spill; and tried his best to thwart the Keystone XL pipeline. If you think Obama has dropped gas prices out of concern for your family; then you need to have another beer.
