Albany police speak with one of two suspects found inside a vacant home on North Jefferson Street Wednesday morning. Police responded to the home after receiving a report of a burglary in progress, although police at the scene say the two suspects, one male and one female, say they were merely using the house to change clothes.
ALBANY Two people were issued criminal trespass warnings by the Albany Police Department after the two were spotted in a vacant home on North Jefferson Street.
Albany Police Spokesperson Phyllis Banks said that officers first responded to a vacant home on North Jefferson Street Wednesday morning in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, they found a male and female inside the home.
Jonathan Osberry, 19, and Demetria Campbell, age 19, were both found inside the home.
After interviewing them, the two said that they were inside the home only to change clothes and, once the property owner couldn't be contacted and no additional warrants were found on either of the two, they were released with criminal trespass warnings, Banks said.
