ALBANY, Ga. -- Former Dougherty County 2012 Teacher of the Year Candidate Phillip Burns has been charged with child molestation and felony sodomy and is is currently being held without bond at the Dougherty County jail.
According to DCSS Public Information R.D. Harter, Burns, a former third grade science teacher at Lamar Reese Magnet School, left the system in September.
