Former President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday School this Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains.


New Salem Baptist Church in Colquitt will hold an ordination service at 11 a.m. Sunday with the Rev. James Bush bringing the message. Bush will speak during the deacon ordination services for Carlos Williams and Tony Roberts. Bush, a graduate of Albany State University, owns a jury consulting firm, Bush Ventures Inc. He and his wife, Kim, have four children.

Sajuana Wilson-Williams will be the guest speaker for the Albany City Federation Day Program on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Free Will Baptist Church, 1007 W. Lincoln Avenue.

Byne Baptist Church will host the drama “Lottie Moon, Daughter of Destiny, at 6 p.m. on Nov. 18. The church is located at 2832 Ledo Road. For additional information, call (229) 436-5700. The production captures the personality of Moon from her conversion as a rebellious teen to her long missionary career in China.

Baconton United Methodist Church will host a gospel sing featuring Southern Majesty at 7 p.m. on Friday. The program is open to the public.

The House of Prayer by Faith Church God’s Hospital’s Men and Women’s Department will host a men’s and women’s conference at 6 p.m. today. Guest speakers and panelists include Melvinia Loving, Pastor Ben Jefferson and A.J. Neely.
