ALBANY, Ga. -- A woman said she was alone in a motel room registered to a man. That sparked an Albany Police Department officer's interest, a police report said.

According to the report the officer at the Royall Inn motel, 821 W. Highland Ave., on a noise complaint asked if he could come in the room. He found a man hiding in the bathroom after 5:30 p.m. Friday.

"After asking questions and using a 'Rapid I.D.,' the officer stated, "I found out we had made contact with Reginald Ball."

Ball, 25, was wanted for armed robbery and had made an appearance on the "Albany Crime Stoppers Most Wanted" report on August 24 stemming from the charges.

The robberies that triggered the warrants were a July 28 Fast Lane Food Mart and an Aug. 11 Pitt Stop robbery, both on Sylvester Road.

Based on surveillance video footage, it is believed that Ball bought a beer inside the Pitt Stop before motioning to accomplices to enter and rob the store.

D'Angelo Wallace, 20, was arrested in August for the Pitt Stop and other armed robberies. According to the Dougherty County Jail's automated information service Ball and Wallace are in jail without bond available.

Wallace is charged with 50 crimes, including at least 12 counts of armed robbery, 12 counts of possession of a firearm during a crime, 12 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and multiple parole violations.

Also wanted for the Pitt Stop robbery is 20-year-old Joshua Dominique Jackson with a last know address of 507 Swift Street.
