ALBANY, Ga. — A driver heading south on the 100 block of North Slappey Boulevard lost control of his 2000 Mitsubishi Galant, hit a sign and a utility pole and flipped the car at about 3 a.m. Wednesday, an Albany Police Department report stated.
The driver, Travis Jack Ellis, 30, of Albany, had visible injuries and was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, the report added. Ellis was discharged from the hospital, said a hospital spokeswoman.
Police said Ellis refused to take the alcohol test and was charged with drunken driving, failure to maintain lane and colliding with stationary objects.
In a Tuesday crash, Albany police reported Derek Webb, 27, traveled north on Palmyra Road at Slappey Boulevard on a motorcycle when Dalemarie Robinson, 46, pulled her BMW out in front of him as she left a Flash Foods convenience store.
