Tracks are missing in America’s future

Letter to the Editor

Page Two, as promised in a previous article, will jump to the “The Last Page.” I foresee a dark horizon ahead. In his first four years, it would have been very important for any president to make an impression of a wise leader such as Churchill, Thatcher, Adams, Lincoln, etc. Those who had tough decisions to make — not always perfect, but with a great profundity since of careful and deep thought put into the outcome and what the results would be afterwards — tried to put their country first, such as when Churchill decided not to warn the residents of London of the impending bombing from Russia, as it would have let Russia know that England had broken its secret code.

Our president has shown no such attitude nor desire to be anything other than the first black president. His lack of concern and leadership skills will surely carry on, especially with the same people he has surrounded himself with. I expect he will continue to degrade this country, as he has promised, and little to be left except the warlords when the next four years are over. It was Albert Einstein who said, “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

If this country does not take a 180 turn in its direction, I fear for the worst as we cannot continue down this track for the train is on a runaway course with an engineer who is so narcissistic that his clouded vision does not see the tracks are missing up ahead. Maybe “Atlas Shrugged” was really a roadmap of the future, rather than a work of fiction. I hope for a better chapter. Be careful, my friends, the tracks are missing just around the corner. The End, Amen.

Lets get the facts right. The theory is that during WWII Churchill did not warn the residents of Coventry of an impending bombing by Nazi Germany in order to keep the Enigma code break a secret. Not London and not by the Russians who were allies at that time. The president does not intent to "degrade" America, he just sees problems he intends to solve in ways you (and I) don't agree with. He is not an evil person bent on destruction as you make him out to be. Ayn Rand's novel advances political ideas but also describes a morality free sexual code that gets little attention or comment from libertarians. Atlas is a science fiction love story and not a model for government this nation will ever adopt.

How do you know he is not an evil person? Evil people lie, so does Obama. Makes him first cousins to evil.
