CAMILLA -- Lucy Ragan Cochran, 89, of Camilla, died Thursday, November 08, 2012 at Camilla Retirement Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home with interment in Oakview Cemetery. Rev. Andy Hall, Rev. Joe Beauchamp, and Rev. Joe Poitevint will officiate.
Pallbearers will include Jack Williams, Herman Coker, Lamar Kirkland, David Harris, Ronnie Ott, and Don Coker.
Born August 27, 1923 in Mitchell County, Mrs. Cochran was the daughter of the late Charlie W. Ragan and Runa Jones Ragan. She was married to the late William Henry Cochran. Mrs. Cochran was a retired florist, having worked for Martha's Flower Shop. She was a member of Pinecliff Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Gus Ragan, Ross Ragan, and Thomas Ragan and three half-sisters, Agnes Ragan, Pauline Cosper, and Lorene Mathis.
Survivors include two sons, Wright Cochran of Camilla and Joe Cochran and wife, Diane, of Clermont, FL; two sisters, Ruth Davis of Cotton and Hazel Taylor of Hazelhurst; two grandchildren, Joey Cochran and Jason Cochran; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m., Saturday, November 10 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home.
