Squawk of the Day - Nov. 15, 2012

"With Lane Price receiving 88 percent of the votes, the electorate of Dougherty County has sent a message to the DCSS. We are tired of board members promoting their personal agenda and sacrificing our children’s education."

I heard this great joke at the meeting last night. It so happens that Bro. Roosevelt arose in his pulpit and somberly tells his congregation that he has been gruesomely wronged by someone in his church starting the rumor that he had joined the KKK which he denied. Threatening to resign he demanded to know who had told the lie that he was in the Klan. The beautiful and voluptous organist raised her hand and was recognized. In tears she confessed, " I never said you was in the Klan, I said you was a wizard under the sheets." Sounds like a good reverend familiar to all of us and Brother_Luv.

When 88% of a majority black county votes for the white candidate, it isn't about race.

Yes. Tell that to the black mayor, the black police chief, the black city manager, etc., etc.

DON'T YOU MEAN AFRICAN AMERICAN MISREPRESENTATION?

This is not a great message. They still voted for Obama which surely means that they are not in touch with reality. If the tax rates go into effect, expect P&G to close or a box of pampers to triple in price. $5 for a paper towel is believable. Pulp will have to be imported from Canada and that adds $$$ to the cost. Timber owners will no longer cut timber cheaper to let i stay in the woods, and that is the largest industry in Georgia. In the scope of things, DCSS is a small matter. Especially when Georgia will be bankrupt.

chinaberry25, did you get started on the sauce at 4:30 am or just winding up on yesterday's batch? Enjoy this victory and we'll pick back up on the other stuff later.

No, I know what I am talking about. If you watched an unbiased news you make know too. Just wait!

I hear this about Fox all the time and I really do not understand. Most if not all segments have both sides. Now Hannity is a little far right, I admit, but all the others have both views where MSNBC and others are a different story. How many times has Fox been questioned for editting a story like the others. I just don't get yours and others comments about Fox. Maybe if more would watch Fox we might not have another 4 yrs of disaster.

Pulp to make paper products mostly comes from Canada and Brazil.

I hope and pray that the new board has the fortitude to really turn this system around. It won't comr overnight and it won't be pretty, but change is desperately needed!

Now with #34 going out the door (with a pleasent severance package) maybe they can get someone qualified.

2

Brother_Love? The race or skin color does not matter to me. People should be QUALIFIED for the jobs they are chosen to do. And, these days it appears that qualifications have been thrown out the door. #34 was unqualified and did not meet what was needed for that superintendent's position. But he was hired and was allowed to not follow procedures, oh, but procedures had not been followed for years and others are to blame for the errors of the DCSS not who is in the building on Pine now.

He also had to have a tutor to pass the state board. Took 3 years to get it.

Seeing that Murfee is gone? The attorney for the election board going after Heard? I am having alittle hope for Albany? Still not holding my breath.

Murfree is going, not gone. Before everybody does a cheer that he is gone, let's wait until he is truely out of here. Then maybe, just maybe, the new school board can get a person who is actually qualified for the job and stop creating another tax problems for the small % of people that support the school system. With the three (3) that sit on the DCSS Board that voted to keep him, remember, there are still problems on that board. And as far as Brother_Love, just ignore him and maybe he will just go away. JUST MAYBE.

"The Dougherty County School Board and Superintendent Joshua Murfree signed a general release and mutual employment termination agreement Wednesday, effectively ending Murfree's tumultuous three-year tenure with the troubled school system." Done deal, baby. Pop the cork! More to do and the calvary is on the way.

I think Brother_Love might be our latest Troll...

Maybe Da Corch has found a new home. :)

Sherwood_Eagle_Alum 1 year, 5 months ago

That's what I was thinking, but Brother_Love writes a little too eloquent to be coach. He definitely partakes of the NAACP, left-wing kool-aid, though.

0

VSU 1 year, 5 months ago

I agree with you on that, Da Corch might have been off the chain, but his comments are usually the rub it in your face type comments with no anger, this Brother Love character seems to have a touch of anger in him.

Oh great. Another racist troll.
