DAWSON -- Pleas Wayne Flournoy, 63, of Parrott passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Harvey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eddie Braswell and Bro. Rodney Hudson officiating.
Pleas was born in Terrell County on November 8, 1949. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing. More than anything, Pleas loved his family and friends and spending time with them.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Grady and Pearl Flournoy and his sister, Glynn Daniel. Survivors include his fiancee', Jackie Hudson of Parrott; brother, Marvin Flournoy of Dawson; sisters, Rebecca Miller (Leon) of Dawson, Jane Wills (Raymond) of Dawson, and Joy Fitzgerald (Don) of Friendswood, TX; brother-in-law, Bill Daniel of Dawson; adopted children, Katrina Frith of Athens, Lorie Hood (Tony) of Atlanta, Kevin Frith (Kim) of Albany, Mark Frith of Nashville, TN, and Talitha Saunders of Savannah; a host of nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Butch Summerall of Parrott.
