Carlisle Kendricks, 19, and Disheba Kendricks, 37, were in the Malibu, according to the report. Carlisle Kendricks has been discharged from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said. No information was available from the hospital on Disheba Kendricks.

The investigation came under the jurisdiction of the Georgia State Patrol. No further information was immediately available.

Why can't Albany police drive? Especially in traffic? When they are responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens? Why doesn't someone with APD insist on driving school for these officers?

You are suppose to yield for the police. Nothing states that the cops were in the wrong. Probably had all rap music drowning out the sirens.

Cops cannot break any traffic laws while running lights & siren until the coast is clear. It is their responsblity to stop at all red light, stop signs, etc until the coast is clear then they must proceed with caution.

The Kendrick's probably did not yield to the police car. I watched a vehicle try to outrun a darn fire truck on Palmyra Road. Instead of just renewing Driver's License, everyone should have to reread the book regarding the Rules Of The Road and Retake the Test.
