ALBANY, Ga. — James Cedric Strum, 22, was found guilty of armed robbery, aggravated assault and entering auto Wednesday, Dougherty District Attorney Greg Edwards said.
Strum awaits sentencing and could get a minimum of 10 years to a maximum of life, Edwards said. Codefendants Alan Moore, 25, and Kenard Jackson, 21, are in Dougherty County Jail. Moore is awaiting trial on seven charges, including armed robbery, aggravated assault and entering auto. Jackson, 21, pleaded guilty, turned state’s evidence and is awaiting sentencing on armed robbery and entering auto charges.
According to Albany Police Department reports, the three men robbed Lester McBride of cash and clothing at gunpoint after forcing him from his car at 1013 Cedar Ave. in September 2011. When McBride ran from the thieves, he was shot at but was not hit.
