CAMILLA -- Dr. Walter J. Burgess, Sr., 79, of Mitchell County, died Friday, November 16, 2012, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2012, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation was 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla, Ga.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7053 Ga. Hwy 112, Camilla, Ga. 31730.
The family will be receiving friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Burgess, Jr., 153 Pineridge Drive, Leesburg.
