ALBANY -- Evelyn Lewis Paschal, 88, died on November 19, 2012. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11 AM with burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Don Adams will officiate. The family will receive friends in the Sanctuary of First United Methodist Church on Wednesday from 10 AM till 11 AM.
Mrs. Paschal was born on December 1, 1923 in Albany, GA to Mary and Glenn Lewis. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Hill Paschal, Jr. Mrs. Paschal worked for 49 years on Tarva Plantation, a job and a place that she dearly loved. She was known as the Hummingbird Lady and took great pleasure in having guests on her back porch to enjoy the hummingbirds.
Mrs. Paschal graduated from Albany High School and attended ABAC. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for many years.
She is survived by her sons and daughter in laws, Thomas Hill Paschal, III and his wife Nancy and Glenn Lewis Paschal and his wife June, all of Albany, GA; her grandchildren, Thomas Hill Paschal, IV of Panama City Beach, FL, Jacob Glenn Paschal and his wife Betsy of Albany, GA and Carrie Paschal Baker and her husband Jeff of Birmingham, AL. She is also survived by her sister, Harriett Cannady and her husband Dan of Allendale, SC. Her brothers, Don Lewis and Max Lewis, preceded her in death.
