ALBANY, Ga. — The Darton State College Concert Band will present its Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Darton Theatre.
The concert will feature classic works for the symphonic band by famous composers, such as Grainger, Brahms, McBeth, and Jacob. The performance is free and open to the public.
This performance is the band’s first concert under its new music director, Marc F. Boensel, assistant professor of music at Darton State College. Dr. Boensel, who joined Darton in August 2012, brings more than 25 years of experience as a conductor, performer and educator, including 22 years of service in U.S. military bands.
