MACON, Ga. — The Georgia Department of Natural Resources has launched a mobile app to help outdoors enthusiasts.
The Telegraph newspaper in Macon reports that the app — called the Official Georgia Fishing, Hunting and Wildlife Guide — launched earlier this month.
It has advanced GPS features to help people track friends, mark trails with photo waypoints and cache map tiles for offline use. It also provides boat ramp locations, species profiles, weather information and maps of public wildlife areas.
The app works on both Android and Apple devices.
