SYLVESTER -- The funeral services for the late Mrs. Ossie Mae Cherry of 213 E. Lee Street, Sylvester, Georgia, who departed this life on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 303-B (daughter's residence), will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Sylvester, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Shepard Memorial Garden in Sylvester, Georgia.
Mrs. Ossie Mae Cherry was born May 1, 1921 in Worth County, Georgia. She was educated in the Worth County Public School System at that time. Ossie was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Council Cherry. This union was blessed with five children.
The Lord Jehovah saw the road was getting rough for our mother, so He called her Home. Ossie Mae Cherry departed this life on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Shari Brickle, in Sylvester, Georgia. a daughter, Brenda Marie Cherry, and a son, Robert Edward Cherry, both preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Hazel Clark, Shari (Ronald) Brickle, Carlton (Verdell)Cherry, all of Sylvester, Georgia, and Patricia Cherry of Atlanta, Georgia; 16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren; three nephews, Jimmy Fulton, Clinton Cherry, Charles Fulton; two nieces, Gussie Johnson, Julia Burley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
