BRUNSWICK -- Elzie L. Cook, Jr., 67, of Darien died Thursday at his residence after an extended illness. He moved to Darien in 2005 from Albany. Mr. Cook was a retired truck driver. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. Cook is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley Cook of Darien; three daughters, Angela Bible of Darien, Sharon (Christopher) Taylor of Darien and Tammy (Calvin) Calhoun of Darien; five brothers, Jessie Cook of Leesburg, GA., Alton (Debbie) Cook of Leesburg, GA., Charles (Teresa) Cook of Smithville, GA., Don (Dee) Cook of Bainbridge, GA., and Adam (DeAnna) Cook of Albany, GA.; six grandchildren, Christopher, Larry, Joshua, Amber, Ivey and Stephen; four great grandchildren, Hayden, Caleb, Kaydence and Addison Elzly.

Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his son, David Cook; two brothers, Ronnie and Billy Joe Cook; his parents, Elzie and Iva Cook; mother in law, Opal Frachiseur, and son in law, Jerry Bible.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Tuesday at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Randy Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Stephen Calhoun, Calvin Calhoun, Joshua Bible, Larry Bible, George Rowe, Chris Taylor, Adam Cook and Chris Hilliard.
