NEW YORK — Leesburg native Phillip Phillips made a visit to the Today Show Tuesday and said that the nation's response to his debut album was "insane."
The World From the Side of the Moon was released ahead of the Thanksgiving rush. The "Gone, Gone, Gone," track from the album is already being featured in Verizon's latest commercial and other tracks including "Man on the Moon" are expected to be hits.

I have enjoyed listening to his new album. Some of the lyrics and melodies are surprisingly dark and haunting but in a good way! It's wonderful to finally hear him express himself through his own music!

A great performer and a fine young man. Performing for the hurricane victims was a gracious and generous act.
