Douglas Hendrix, Sr.

COCHRAN -- Funeral services for Mr. Douglas (Mack) Hendrix, Sr., 70, of Cochran who died at his residence on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Lane Collins and Rev. Bob Price officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Hendrix was born in Carrollton, Georgia, the son of the late Curtis and Magnolia Spradlin Hendrix. He had lived in Cary for the past 5 years. He served his country for 23 years in the U.S. Marines with two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Davis Hendrix of Cochran; three children, Barbara (Sam) Gardner of Kathleen, Dianne Hendrix of Pensacola, FL and Douglas M. Hendrix, Jr. of Belton, Missouri; sisters, Syble Harrold of Eatonton, NC, Marlene Martinez and Sandra Webb, both of Whitesburg, GA, and Shirley Wilder of Hogansville, GA; brothers, Robert Hendrix of Hogansville, GA, Sydney Hendrix of Whitesburg, GA, Tony Hendrix and Edward Agan, both of Arco, GA; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The family may be contacted at the residence on Abney Road and will meet friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday night.
