LEESBURG, Ga. — After the human beings march in Leesburg’s Christmas parade Saturday, dogs will be given their opportunity to shine.
The dog parade will begin around 12:30 p.m., or 30 minutes after the parade, on Starksville Street on front of the main stage. The fee is $5 per dog with proceeds going to the Leesburg Animal Shelter.
Dogs must be dressed in Christmas attire. Judging will be done in three categories — small, medium and large dogs. Awards will be given for first place in each category.
Registration can be handled at the Lee County Chamber of Commerce, Leesburg Animal Shelter and Leesburg Animal Hospital. Contact (229) 759-2422 or email judyp@bellsouth.net.
