AMERICUS -- Harold William Todd, Jr., age 87, of 2001 S. Lee St., Americus, died at Magnolia Manor Retirement Center Monday, October 1, 2012. A native of Miami, FL.; Mr. Todd was born June 7, 1925, the son of the late Harold William and Mary Gillespie Todd. He was a member of the St. Johns Anglican Church and was a Forrester and also a Librarian at the Albany Public Library for twenty five years.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Martha McDonald Moore Chapel at Magnolia Manor with Father Don Hutchens and Dr. Dennis Stalvey officiating. A private burial service will be held later. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 6, at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the service at Martha McDonald Moore Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to League of the Good Samaritan, Magnolia Manor, 2001 S. Lee St., Americus, Ga. 31709.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Margot Todd Evans and Ronald J. Evans of Cairo; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark Rankin Todd and Tina White Todd of Americus; five grandchildren, Adam and Blair Todd, Brittany Todd, Chase Todd, Amber Evans and Forrest Evans; and a special friend, Shirley Urick of Leslie. Mr. Todd was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Todd.
