ALBANY, Ga. -- When a Georgia State Patrol Trooper pulled over William Travis Price on Willingham Drive at about 6:45 p.m. Friday for not wearing a seat belt, the trooper spotted a bag of marijuana in the vehicle, according to a police report.
Price also had a .22-caliber derringer in his right front pocket, Senior Trooper Darryl Benton said. Price was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a gun.
According to priceofweed.com, high-quality marijuana sells for $365.27 an ounce in Georgia. A half-pound would be worth $2,922.16. A half-pound of low-quality would go for $822.96.
Price is out on $20,000 bail, according to the Dougherty County Jail answering system.
