Police/Fire/EMS report for october 5, 2012

ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 40 incidents Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Thefts by taking on the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard the 1300 block of Colquitt Avenue;

— Forgery on the 2400 block of Clark Avenue;

— Burglaries on the 600 block of Johnson Road, the 1600 block of Orchid Drive, the 800 block of Mercedes Street and the 900 block of Holloway Avenue;

— Identity fraud on the 2000 block of Newton Road;

— Camping in the streets on the 3900 block of South Newton Road;

— Robbery by force on the 400 block of North Jackson Street;

— Battery on the 2200 block of East Broad Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 700 block of Mobile Avenue, the 200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 1200 block of West Fourth Street and the 800 block of Cedar Avenue;

— Aggravated assault on the 1700 block of McArthur Street;

—Motor vehicle theft on the 1800 block of Mississippi Avenue;

— Animals at large, dog bite, on the 900 block of Frotscher Street;

— Domestic calls on the 700 block of West Lincoln Avenue, the 600 block of Mission Court and the 2000 block of Tompkins Avenue;

— Physical damage (domestic) on the 100 block of Whittlesey Court;

— Stalking (domestic) on the 500 block of Pinson Road;

— Domestic call (unfounded) on the 1500 block of East Society Avenue.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 63 calls on Wednesday, including 48 medical calls and 15 trauma calls. Medical and trauma calls included, but were not limited to, seven respiratory calls, six miscellaneous pain calls, three seizure calls, one cardiac arrest, six vehicle crash victims and five falls.

LEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE: The Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to at least 36 calls Wednesday. Deputies responded to:

— Vehicle crashes on the 100 block of Philema Road, the 2700 block of Ledo Road and the 200 block of Cypress Point Circle;

— Burglaries on the 100 block of Thundering Springs Road and the 100 block of Cherokee Avenue;

— Fight on the 100 block of King Avenue;

— Fraud on the 100 block of Winding Way;

— Drug investigations on the 1400 block of U.S. Highway 19;

— Juvenile problem on the 200 block of Kinchafoonee Creek Road;

— Disturbance on the 100 block of Berkeley Road.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to eight incidents Wednesday, including pulling a stranded boat from river, a trash fire, a car fire, two unattended cooking calls, a cardiac arrest, an EMS assist and smoking brakes on a garbage truck.
