Police/Fire/EMS report for October 16, 2012

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 65 incidents on Saturday, Sunday and into the early hours of Monday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Criminal trespass on the 1100 block of Avalon Avenue and on the 400 block of West Society Avenue;

— Recovered property on the 2500 block of Canterbury Court and on the 600 block of Bonnyview Avenue;

— Unruly juvenile on the 500 block of Don Cutler Sr. Drive;

— Entering auto on the 2500 block of Canterbury Court and on the 2500 block of Nottingham Way;

— Battery on the 900 block of West Mercer Avenue and on the 1400 block of East Roosevelt Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 2000 block of West Oakridge Drive and on the first block of Patricia Drive;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road and on the 200 block of Cordele Road;

— Burglary in the 1st degree on the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive and on the 100 block of Mitchell Avenue;

— Motor vehicle theft on the 2100 block of Clark Avenue and on the 400 block of Wadkins Avenue;

— Assault on the 2400 block of Hemlock Drive and on the 500 block of West Highland Avenue;

— Theft by taking on the 300 block of Carriage Lane and on the 500 block of Don Cutler Sr. Drive;

— Probation violation warrant on the 2300 block of Dawson Road;

— Misuse of 911 on the 1600 block of Pineview Avenue;

— Burglary in the 2nd degree on the 1400 block of East Broad Avenue;

— Simple battery on the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and on the 2000 block of Schilling Avenue;

— Missing juvenile on the 600 block of Johnson Road and on the 1300 block of Hobson Street;

— Wanted person on the 1300 block of East Roosevelt Avenue;

— Aggravated assault on the 700 block of Wheeler Avenue and on the 900 block of West Gordon Avenue;

— Robbery by sudden snatching on the 100 block of Front Street;

— Driving on a suspended license on the 900 block of Colquitt Circle and on the 400 block of North Westover Boulevard.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 22 calls on Saturday and Sunday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Traffic accident with injuries on the 2600 block of Moultrie Road. A vehicle was traveling east on Moultrie Road at around 10:30 a.m. Saturday when a piece of plywood came out the bed of the truck. To avoid a collision, another vehicle swerved and exited the north edge of the roadway, flipped over and came to rest. The first vehicle left the scene.

— Entering auto on the 3000 block of War Eagle Avenue;

— Traffic accident (deer) on the 3500 block of Sylvester Road;

— Financial transaction card fraud on the 1500 block of Skylark Lane;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 4400 block of Acree Avenue.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 34 calls from Friday through Sunday evening, available reports show. The incidents included a trash fire, alarm malfunctions, burning leaves, vehicle accidents, a grease fire, EMS assistance and a structural fire on the 1500 block of Elva Street causing $6,000 in damage.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Service responded to 56 calls on Sunday, available reports show. There were 48 medical calls, six trauma calls and two Albany Fire Department assistance calls.

The medical calls included, but were not limited to, eight respiratory issue calls, four chest pain calls, four miscellaneous pain calls and 26 various medical calls. The trauma calls included, but were not limited to, three falls and two gunshot victims.
