I listened to the vice presidential debate while working and then again on TV when I got home. I even watched analysis of the debate from several liberal dissidents. Even some of the so-called Democrats said it was dead even.
Once I got past Mr. Biden’s smile, I realized he was trying to make a point, or maybe just a word ... or words. He (Joe) kept saying something about A-Bama-Nation. Then he (Joe) picked up on the 47 percent deal and said something about A-bum-a-Nation. The gist of the matter, I think, was Joe Biden was trying to say Obama Nation.
Let me make myself clear. I think this one-time vice president was trying to give his innate optimism and idealism full rein, but fell short.
