ALBANY -- Marjorie Nell (Riner) Martin, 74, died Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. She was the daughter of Mary Nell (Reaves) Riner and Tom Neal Riner. She graduated from Aberdeen High School. Ms. Martin worked for the Post Exchange in Ft. Bliss, El Paso, Texas, and spent many years as the "Friendliest Waitress" in Aberdeen.
A celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, at the New Life of Albany in Albany, GA, with Pastor Steve Waldron officiating.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 20, at the Maxey Cemetery in Smithville, MS, with Bryan Bartholomew administering the service. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kyle Pride and Anthony Martin Jr.
Survivors include one son, Anthony Earl Martin of Shumway, IL; one daughter, Wanda Yvonne Pride-Bartholomew of Poulan, GA; four grandchildren, Kyle Marshall Pride of Poulan, GA, Anthony Earl Martin Jr. of Shumway, IL, Brandy KaNell Martin (Brenda May) of Streetsboro, OH, and Doris Mary Martin of Aberdeen; one great-grandchild, Jacob McGee of Streetsboro, OH, and one sister, Grace Guin (Hubert) of Hamilton, MS.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Audrey (Audie) Wayne Martin; four sisters, Doris Copeland, Dorothy Dodd, Gayle Carlock, and Jaine Carlock; one brother, O'Neal Riner; and a host of nieces and nephews.
