Wallace Ward Cleveland

BLAKELY -- Mr. , at his residence. His funeral will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Westview United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Reppert and Tommy Wright officiating.

Active Pallbearers will be Tom Wright, D. J. Cleveland, Joe Brown, Brad Cleveland, Bill Cleveland, Fred Cleveland and Tim Cleveland. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the V. F. W. and the American Legion.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Cleveland was born September 20, 1931 in Damascus, GA to the late William Henry Cleveland and Lilla Temples Cleveland. He was a retired Postal Clerk for the Blakely Post Office, a member of the Westview United Methodist Church, the V. F. W. and the American Legion. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, stationed in Alaska, during the Korean Conflict. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Belle English Cleveland; two sisters, Ruby Cleveland and Ouida Mae Cleveland Allen; and by four brothers, Alfred, H. T., R. A. and William Henry (Shorty) Cleveland.

His survivors include three daughters, Cynthia Wright and Tommy of Blakely, GA, Joy Cleveland of San Diego, CA and Wanda McCay and Danny of Sautee-Nacoochee, GA; a son, Wallace Dave Cleveland and Alice of Newport News, VA; six grandchildren, Tom Wright and Maranda of Albany, GA, Ansley Alexander of Blakely, GA, Hillary Hansen of DeLand, FL, Dave Cleveland, Jr. and Katie of Washington, D. C., Alicia Brown and Joe of Enterprise, AL and Maressa McCay of Sautee-Nacoochee, GA; and ten great grandchildren, Ward and Hallie Kay Wright of Albany, GA, Noah and Ansley Hansen of DeLand, FL, Dixie, Daisy and Joseph Brown of Enterprise, AL and Miles Alexander of Blakely, GA, Isabel and Savannah Cleveland of Washington, D. C.
