COLQUITT -- Mr. Joy Tully, 82, of Colquitt died Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Colquitt First Baptist Church Worship Center with Dr. Carl Marshall, Rev. Stanley Phillips, and Rev. Charlie Kyles officiating. Mr. Charles Bevis will be eulogizing.

Interment will follow at Colquitt City Cemetery with Matthew Tully, Tyler Richardson, Guy Stovall, Trace Stovall, Gerald Jenkins, Kirk Jenkins, and Alan Jenkins serving as active pall bearers. Honorary pall bearers will be Jerry Grimsley, Ray Inlow, Sonny Grow, Joe Grimsley, Martine Phillips, Gene Rathel, Spud Bush, Clyde Jinks, Stanley Tyner, Charles Bevis, Dennis Perkins, Smokey Perkins, Morris McCray, Tony Perkins, Terry Toole, Larry Calhoun, and Vic Spooner. Visitation will be Friday, October 19, 2012, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Colquitt Funeral Home.

Mr. Tully was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army. He attended Miller County High School and recieved his diploma after the war ended. Mr. Joy was a 50 plus year member of Free & Accepted Masons, Walter C. Dancer Lodge #115. He was a member of Colquitt First Baptist Church and was an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan. He was the retired owner of Tully & Son Chevron Service Station.

Mr. Joy is survived by his wife, Joyce J. Tully; three sons, Craig (Cindy) Tully of Colquitt, GA, Trace (Amy) Stovall of Colquitt, GA, and Guy (Sherry) Stovall of Colquitt, GA; two daughters, Cille Tully (Bobby) Richardson, Jr. of Colquitt, GA, and Misty Stovall and fiance Tim Palmer of Kite, GA; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Glen Tully of Colquitt, GA; one sister, Christine Harrison of Colquitt, GA; and one special family friend, Amy Burr. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Willis and Annie Folsom Knight Tully; wife and mother of his children, Ann Tooke Tully; one brother, John Preston Tully; one sister, Hilda Jenkins; and one granddaughter, Kim Tully.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund at Colquitt First Baptist Church, 351 East Pine Street, Colquitt, GA 39837.
