ALBANY, Ga. — For the 39th year, this Saturday the Artesian City Car Show rolls onto the lawn of the Albany Mall, 2601 Dawson Road.
"Older visitors will get a chance to re-live their memories while younger folks can see how cars have changed over the years," said Deborah Dougherty, president of the Artesian City Car Club.
According to Dougherty, the club's 40 members will present about 70 collector cars at the show this year. Dougherty will exhibit her treasured 1931 Ford Model A, she said, purchased by her dad from a real-life "little old lady from Pasadena."
Dougherty said the show is free for visitors and will be held "rain or shine." Judging is planned in various categories including first and second place in more than 30 classes, Best of Show custom, Best of Show Original and Best Presentation.
Registration of entries will take place from 9 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. with presentation of trophies and awards at 3 p.m.
