ALBANY, Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 53 incidents Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Battery on the 2800 block of Sylvester Road;
— Burglary on the 1100 block of Wingate Avenue and the 1800 block of Forest Glen Drive;
— Theft by taking on the 300 block of Flintside Drive, the 300 block of Moultrie Road, the 7600 block of Dawson Heights Road and the 300 block of Pine Avenue;
— Entering auto on the 1300 block of West Second Avenue and the 300 block of South Carroll Street;
— Aggravated assault on the 1800 block of Lullwater Drive and the 2100 block of Lennox Street;
— Injured person on the 2300 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Interference with a city officer on the 500 block of Odom Avenue;
— Motor vehicle theft on the 1400 block of Avalon Avenue and the 1400 block of East Mercer Avenue;
— Pedestrian soliciting a ride or money or on the side of the road on the 2400 block of Slappey Boulevard;
— Assault on the 1000 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 27 calls, according to police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
— Theft of two pit bulls valued at $3,500 on the 3200 block of Sylvester Road;
— Accidental minor damage to vehicle by tree on the 4900 block of Radium Springs Road;
— Vehicle crash on the 2300 block of Liberty Expressway;
— Domestic (verbal) on the 800 block of Holly Drive;
— Assault (domestic) on the 400 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
— Aggravated assault (domestic) on the 1400 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
— Traffic arrest on the 1300 block of South Mock Road;
— Obstruction of an officer during a traffic investigation on the 200 block of Eight Mile Road;
— Domestic (unfounded) on the 700 block of Mobile Avenue, the 2400 block of Dawson Road and the 100 block of Front Street.
DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 68 calls on Wednesday.
There were 43 medical calls and 25 trauma calls. Medical Calls and trauma calls included but were not limited to:
— Three chest pains, three diabetic issues, three mental health calls, 27 various medical calls, 15 vehicle crash victims and seven falls.
LEE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: The Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to at least 40 calls.
— Intoxicated person on the 1500 block of Highway 19;
— Animal call on the 400 block of Smithville Road and the 700 block of Highway 82;
— Vehicle crash on the 600 block of Old Leesburg Road, the 1200 block of Highway 82 and the 1200 block of Highway 82;
— Theft of lawnmower on the 100 block of Mayfield Drive;
— Fraud on the 100 block of Ossabaw Lane;
— Child abuse on the 100 block of Carter Place Road;
— Burglary on the 1500 block of Highway 19;
— Welfare check on Carter Place Road;
— Fight on the 200 block of Endoline Drive;
— Disturbance on the 200 block of Endoline;
— Drug investigations on the 900 block of Highway 19;
— Burglary on the 100 block of Creek Drive;
— Motor vehicle theft on the 1500 block of Highway 19.
ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to 14 incidents.
— An electric short, four activated alarms, an unauthorized burn, heavy equipment (an excavator) on fire, three false alarms, extract two trapped victims from SUV crash, another vehicle crash, a trash fire and an assist EMS call.
