Red Devils sophomore RB Gary McCrae rushed for two scores in Thursday's R-C win against Baconton, snapping a two-game losing streak.
CAMILLA — Randolph-Clay forced six Baconton Charter turnovers Thursday night and snapped a two-game losing streak with a 32-7 victory against the Blazers.
Randolph-Clay defenders Tavarus Williams and Jarodrick Stringer had interceptions, and Baconton Charter ball carriers lost four fumbles to the Red Devils.
Williams ran his interception back for a touchdown, sophomore running back Gary McCrae scored two rushing touchdowns and sophomore Marcus Smith got in the end zone on a pass from junior quarterback Caleb McFather.
Complete stats were unavailable for the Red Devils, who improved to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in Region 1-A.
Baconton’s lone touchdown came on Narocis Lewis’ 48-yard run, while Quinton Smith led the Blazers with 68 yards on 11 carries. Baconton quarterback Brock Pinson rushed for 32 yards and completed 3 of 4 passes for 45 yards.
The Blazers fell to 3-6 and will finish their season Thursday at home against Seminole County’s junior varsity team.
